The Australian manufactured
DRIFTER is one of our flight training aircraft. If you want the "wind in the face" experience of an open cockpit aircraft then the
DRIFTER is designed for you. The pilot sits in the front seat with the instructor behind, your view is completely uninterupted. Just like a bird, you can see up, down and to all sides with only your feet and an instrument panel in front of you - great
FUN!
Based on the original Maxair Drifter the Australian produced
DRIFTER is stronger and more powerful than the original design, offering more pilot protection, improved comfort, longer range and both better climb and cruise performance.
Unlike other lightweight sport aviation flying machines such as the powered hang glider type "trike" microlights the
DRIFTER is both
strong wind and cross-wind capable, it's light on the controls, comfortable to sit in (no piggy back seats) and easy to fly.
Our true blue
GAZELLE sport aircraft, flying over the Macedon ranges north west of Sunbury Airfield. The Australian built
GAZELLE is one of our basic flight training aircraft.
Its easy to fly and offers good visibility. Full dual flight controls including disk brakes are fitted making training safer and easier. Cabin heat is also standard so the
GAZELLE is comfortable to fly in winter.
Powered by a reliable Rotax 912, 4 stroke engine with a full panel of aircraft instruments these aircraft really are ideal flight training aeroplanes.
The
Storch will become our new basic trainer, it will cost a little more to fly than the Gazelle however it has a bigger cockpit with more room, offers improved visability and improved flight performance and is easy to fly.
Imported from Italy this aircraft is well worth considering as your first aircraft. If you want to save some money and are interested in owning your own aircraft you can also buy a new
Storch from us and we can teach you to fly in your own aircraft! The first Airsports Flying School Storch is expected to be available early in 2007.
The
Texan is another super high speed sport aircraft, imported from Italy, carbon fibre construction, 360 degree view canopy, and full dual controls are standard.
Even though this little aircraft is fast in the air its still easy to fly, a great all-round aircraft and often chosen by many pilots as their first aircraft, The
Texan really is a great flying machine.
The
CT-2K aircraft is our ideal cruising aircraft, with its superb long range capability and high cruise speed its a great aircraft for the capable pilot. A little harder to fly than our other aircraft so for most pilots its a good aircraft to upgrade on to after all basic flight training has been completed.
